When to Call

Following a power interruption, check your main circuit panel for a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Contact your neighbors to see if they have power. Report immediately if you believe the trouble is on REA lines.

If a member of your hosehold depends on medical equipment for life support, notify the REA at once; do not wait for an emergency.

When reporting an outage or emergency, be prepared to furnish the account holder's name, telephone number and a description of the problem. You may also be asked for the address or meter number of the location in need of service.
